It searches recent high-engagement posts across X, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok and YouTube for any topic you enter. This is a research tool for content ideation, not a virality predictor.
Which social platforms does it cover?
X (Twitter), Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, and YouTube. Threads is not covered yet.
Can I research hashtags around a topic?
Yes. Every trending post lists the hashtags it used, and you can pull a combined hashtag shortlist for any search. Useful for prepping campaigns and finding niche tags.
Can I filter by time window?
You can switch between 7, 14 and 30 day windows. Use 7 days for fresh trends, 14 days for ideas with staying power, and 30 days for evergreen topics or seasonal planning.
What metrics do I see on each post?
An estimated engagement level based on the public search snippet, plus the source link. Exact like and share counts are not pulled, so open the post for precise numbers.
How do I turn the research into actual posts?
Open a result and adapt it in the composer with AI, in your tone and for your channels. Inspiration boards are not available today, so draft what you like right away.
Does PostNext predict whether my posts will go viral?
No. There is no reliable virality predictor. The tool shows which recent posts in your niche earned strong engagement so you can write content informed by what is already working.
Is trend discovery on the Free plan?
Free accounts can run searches with limits on saved boards. Premium and Business raise those limits. A 7 day trial of paid tiers is available.
Is trending content discovery available through a REST API for external tools?
Not for discovery. The public REST API covers accounts, connections, posts, assets, and analytics; discovery runs inside the app.
Can I save searches and get notified of new viral posts in my niche?
Not today. Searches run on demand; saved searches with notifications are not available.
Does discovery work across multiple brand profiles for agencies and creators?
Discovery runs as a workspace search; there are no per-brand inspiration boards or watchlists today.
Can I bulk-import trending posts into my PostNext draft queue?
Not as a bulk action. Open a result and adapt it into a draft one at a time.
How does discovery handle privacy and attribution of competitors' viral posts?
Only public posts are indexed. Private accounts, protected tweets, and unlisted videos never appear. PostNext never republishes a competitor's media verbatim. The Remix flow uses the trending post as a structural reference (hook style, hashtag pattern) and the AI generates fresh wording under your brand profile.
Can I filter discovery by engagement threshold or hashtag count range?
Not today. Results come ranked by estimated engagement; numeric threshold and hashtag-count filters are not available.
Does discovery cover languages other than English for non-English markets?
Yes. The discovery index covers 50+ languages including German, Spanish, French, Portuguese, Russian, Japanese, and Korean. Set the brand profile's target language and search results return posts in that language. The Remix flow generates AI drafts in the same language by default. Cross-language searches help spot trends across markets.
Can I migrate inspiration boards from Pocket or Notion into discovery?
Not available. There is no bookmark import from Pocket, Notion, or Raindrop.
