How do I start?

Which plan tier unlocks AI image generation specifically?
AI image generation starts on Premium with 150 AI credits shared between text drafts and images. Business raises the pool to 500 credits. The Free plan covers text drafts only. Brand profile prompts and longer revision threads also unlock on Premium and Business.
Is there an API or webhook for the AI Content Creator and brand profiles?
Not for draft generation. The public REST API covers accounts, connections, posts, assets, and analytics; there are no generation endpoints or outbound webhooks today. The MCP server gives AI assistants safe access to drafting.
Can the AI Content Creator run on mobile browsers without a native app?
Yes. The composer is responsive and works on iOS Safari and Android Chrome. You can draft, generate captions with AI, pick hashtags, and queue posts on a phone. Image generation also works on mobile, though reviewing 4-up grids and editing AI captions is more comfortable on tablet or desktop.
How do unused AI credits roll over between billing cycles?
Unused AI credits do not roll over. Each cycle resets to the plan allowance: 150 on Premium, 500 on Business, plus 50 per seat on Teams. Smart Schedule slots and brand profile lookups do not consume credits. Only generated text drafts and AI images draw from the pool, visible in the billing dashboard.
Can I export AI drafts to CSV, Markdown, or another scheduling platform?
Copy the draft text straight from the composer. There are no Markdown, CSV, or JSON export formats today.
Does the AI Content Creator support A/B variant testing for captions?
Not built in as an experiment feature. Ask the composer for two or three caption variants, schedule them on different days, and compare each post's engagement in analytics.
Can I bulk-generate AI captions for a content batch across channels?
Not today. The AI Content Creator takes one topic or brief at a time; CSV topic import is not available.
Can I migrate captions and scheduled posts from Buffer or Hootsuite into PostNext?
Yes, through the CSV import in the calendar. Put your captions in a CSV file, one row per post with the text plus an optional date, channels and media URL, and import up to 100 posts at a time. Rows with a date are scheduled and rows without one become drafts. Channels reconnect separately through OAuth.
