Approvals

Approvals

Approvals add a review step between writing a post and scheduling it. Instead of scheduling a draft directly, you send it for approval; a teammate reviews it and either approves it or requests changes. Nothing is published until the post has passed review and been scheduled.

Sending a post for approval

From the composer, send a draft to approval instead of scheduling it. The post moves to the Approvals tab on the Publish screen with an Awaiting approval badge, where everyone on the team can see what is waiting for review.

Reviewing a post

On a post awaiting approval, a reviewer has two actions:

  • Approve - The post returns to drafts marked Approved, ready to be scheduled.
  • Request changes - The reviewer writes a short comment explaining what to fix, and the post returns to drafts with a Changes requested badge showing the comment.

Approving a post does not publish it. The approved draft still goes through normal scheduling, so you stay in control of when it goes out.

Availability

Approvals are available on paid plans.
